AEW CEO Tony Khan has revealed his father Shad Khan’s reaction to Jack Perry and The Young Bucks attacking him on AEW Dynamite.
On the April 24 edition of AEW Dynamite, The Elite’s Jack Perry and The Young Bucks attacked their boss and AEW President Tony Khan.
The attack saw the freshly reinstated Jack Perry punching Khan in the stomach before Matthew and Nicholas Jackson delivered the TK Driver to their boss.
During the 2024 NFL Draft Day One coverage, Khan was seen in the Jacksonville Jaguars draft war room, sporting a neck brace to sell the effects of the attack.
On April 26, Tony Khan spoke with the NFL Network to discuss the NFL Draft and the attack on AEW Dynamite. On his father Shad Khan’s reaction to the attack, Tony said:
“He was very angry at the people who assaulted me, my dad loves AEW and he’s a big fan of what we do Wednesday’s on TBS and Saturday’s, just like tomorrow night in Jacksonville on TNT.”
“He watches every show and he never expected something like that, it’s never happened before.”
Shad Khan appeared on the April 24 AEW Dynamite to check on Tony following the TK Driver from The Young Bucks.
Tony Khan has also caused a social media buzz following his statement saying WWE are “like the Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling” elsewhere in the interview, which you can read here.
