WWE Star makes in ring return after nearly a year away

A WWE star has made their in-ring return after nearly one year out of action on an episode of NXT Level Up tonight.

NXT star Wendy Choo was written off television due to an attack by now Smackdown star Blair Davenport while she was rehabbing a real-life injury.

She was last in action in a tag team match, teaming with Kelani Jordan to take on Elektra Lopez and Lola Vice on May 16, 2023.

The lovable Choo made her return on tonight’s airing of NXT Level Up (May 10, 2024) taking on Wren Sinclair in a match taped on April 30, 2024, with Choo picking up the win.

Choo’s return to NXT TV was briefly teased earlier this week, with the sound of snoring being heard for a few seconds while the screen was black.

Sinclair will be part of the upcoming qualifiers to determine the first ever NXT Women’s North American Champion.

In Las Vegas at the UFC Apex facility, NXT will crown the first holder of the new title in a six-woman ladder match.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, Cutler James, real name Jonah Niesenbaum, makes his NXT Level Up debut who clarified that while he seems like ‘a friendly neighborhood guy’, he’s also a ‘local legend’ and ‘community leader’.

The WWE NextGen reality standout lost to Josh Briggs in his debut effort on tonight’s Level Up.
