KAYFABE CLIPS: Austin Idol & Kevin Sullivan team up to take on The Fabulous Freebirds

Austin Idol & Kevin Sullivan tell Gordon Solie have put their differences aside, and they are out for revenge against The Fabulous Freebirds

Once bitter rivals, Kevin Sullivan and Austin Idol are together on Georgia Championship Wrestling and tell Gordon Solie that they now have a common enemy.

The Fabulous Freebirds had drawn the ire of Sullivan and Idol, two of the biggest stars in the territory. Now, the sides were all set to square off with everything on the line.

Kevin Sullivan would later go on to fame as 'The Prince of Darkness' in the 1980s while in the Florida territory. Following that, he had mainstream success as a wrestler, manager, and booker for the NWA and World Championship Wrestling.

Austin Idol continued to be one of the most appealing stars in all of southern wrestling. He was a part of one of the signature moments of the decade in 1987, when he, Tommy Rich, and manager Paul E. Dangerously (Paul Heyman) shaved the head of Memphis star Jerry 'The King' Lawler.
