IMPACT Wrestling Storms Into Chicago For Back-to-Back Nights of Action-Packed Pro Wrestling, April 28-29, At Cicero Stadium New IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin & New Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo Will Be In-Action
IMPACT Wrestling presents the 2-night SPRING SLUGFEST in Chicago on Friday & Saturday, April 28-29 – with championship matches set, feuds settled and new battles taking shape.
IMPACT Wrestling is coming off the mid-April REBELLION pay-per-view extravaganza in Toronto, where new IMPACT World Champion Steve Maclin was crowned and Deonna Purrazzo became a 3-time Knockouts World Champion.
Both will be in-action in Chicago, as well as reigning X Division Champion Trey Miguel, Digital Media Champion Joe Hendry, and others. The Chicago shows will feature in-ring action with the Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley), Frankie Kazarian, Tommy Dreamer, Bully Ray, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Moose, PCO, Jordynne Grace, Rosemary, Masha Slamovich, Killer Kelly, Jody Threat and others.
STEVE MACLIN
Steve made his pro wrestling debut in 2013 and spent about 7 years wrestling for WWE before joining IMPACT Wrestling in June 2021. Maclin served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps with 2nd Battalion 8th Marines from 2007-2011. He was honorably discharged as a corporal in the infantry as an 0331 Machine Gunner. Maclin had tours to Afghanistan in 2009 and 2011. Away from the ring, Maclin enjoys comic books, video games and spending time with his 3 dogs. Maclin is finishing his bachelor’s degree online in psychology with a focus on mental health.
DEONNA PURRAZZO
Deonna Purrazzo is a 3-time Knockouts World Champion who also has held other major wrestling titles, such as the Ring Of Honor Women’s Championship and the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. A New Jersey native who has been wrestling professionally since 2013, Purrazzo ranked No. 3 of 150 female wrestlers in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Women's 150 in 2021 – and she appears on the cover of PWI’s current issue (June 2023). Purrazzo is known for her lethal Fujiwara Armbar, which has caused countless opponents to tap out. Purrazzo won the first-ever Knockouts 30-minute Iron Man match, earning the title, “The Iron-Woman of IMPACT Wrestling.”
