WWE Tag Team Splitting Update

On last night’s July 19 WWE SmackDown there was an update on ongoing tension between tag partners Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.

After having an earlier altercation with Cody Rhodes, A-Town Down Under was set to face off against Rhodes and a mystery partner.

During the main event segment, it was revealed that Kevin Owens would be Cody Rhodes’ partner.

By the end of the match, it was Austin Theory and Grayson Waller who had seemingly continued their break-up as a miscommunication led to a near collapse.

When Cody Rhodes was able to escape in the middle of a move from Waller and Theory, it seemed their partnership was closer to falling apart than ever.

An errant kick from Waller was caught midway through by Theory, leading to him grabbing Waller’s leg and starting a confrontation after Theory had fallen victim to being ‘accidentally’ kicked by Waller in the past.

However, as Rhodes had time to prime for the Cody Cutter, Waller would shove Theory into the move and run away, leading to Theory taking the pin.

Any further confrontation wasn’t shown on SmackDown as after the match, there was another vicious assault by the new Bloodline.
