The Royal Rumble was created in 1988 by Pat Patterson and won by Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Since then it has become an annual event full of surprises and returns. The prize for winning is a chance to main event WrestleMania. Well get ready for Ten of the Worst Royal Rumble Participants.
1. Brian Knobs
Although a multi time WCW tag champion, nothing seems to stand out as special in regards to Brian Knobs. He was a friend of the man that eliminated him in the 1991 Royal Rumble Hulk Hogan. Being friends with the Immortal Hulk Hogan seems to get people very far.
2. Jerry Saggs
Can't include one member of the Nasty Boys and not the other. Jerry Saggs just seemed to be along for whatever ride Brian Knobs was one when they were tagging together. That is if Jerry Saggs didnt disrupt the party first. Jerry Saggs was in the 1992 Royal Rumble.
3. Repo Man aka Barry Darsow
As an athlete Barry Darsow was a reliable worker. He just ended up with some bad gimmicks after being one half of Demoltion. The gimmick is what lands Barry Darsow here from the 1992 Royal Rumble.
4. Omos
This 7'3" Nigerian Giant makes the list because he just isn't smooth in the ring. His size is impressive but his skill is lacking. Omas was number 11 in the 2022 Royal Rumble.
5. Enzo Amore
Enzo Amore was and is talented on the mic. His in ring ability just never set him apart from the stars that WWE has. So putting him in a match where he cannot truly cut a promo just doesn't work. That is why Enzo Amore made this list having competed in the 2017 Royal Rumble.
6. Hornswoggle
The number 9 entrant to the 2008 Royal Rumble was Hornswoggle. As much as he provides comic releif for almost any event he is on Hornswoggle just isn't a good fit to be in a match where the winner gets a shot at the top prize. Hornswoggle can boast that he was never eliminated from this Rumble as he was carried off screen by Fit Finley.
7. Shane McMahon
Having been around the WWE and its incarnations since 1988 the Shane McMahon only debuted as a wrestler in the 2022 Royal Rumble. This seemed to be an ego trip which ended up getting him fired. Shane did have prior involvement with the Royal Rumble. He was one of the refs in the 1988 Royal Rumble and eliminated Shawn Micheals in the 2006 Royal Rumble.
8. Titus O'Neal
Titus O'Neal is not on the list due to his sliding under the ring for the Greatest Rumble. He is here for his participation in the 2015 Royal Rumble. The plans for his particpation in that match was to be clotheslined right back out of the ring as soon as he entered. Well that did not go as planned. Instead he hopped over the ring joining the many who elimnated themselfs.
9. Nia Jax
The second woman to compete in both the male and femal Royal Rumble, Nia Jax is on here because she was prone to hurting people. Nia participated in the 2019 Men's Royal Rimble and the 2018 Woman's Royal Rumble.
10. Drew Carey
Now know mainly as the host of "The Price is Right' Drew Carey once entered number 5 in the 2001 Royal Rumble. For a breif time he was the only person in the ring before eliminating himself after a start down with the Big Red Machine Kane.
