UPDATE ON ABSENT AEW STAR’S POTENTIAL RETURN

An update has been provided on an absent AEW star Rebel’s potential return following her intentions to return to in-ring action.

Since Britt Baker turned babyface in January 2023, her former assistant and manager Rebel has been absent from AEW programming.

As previously reported, the former TNA star recently took to social media to express her desire to work on the independent wrestling scene in 2024.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that Rebel has not been backstage at AEW TV tapings much during her absence from the promotion. However, the AEW star is open to returning to television if asked.

The report notes that there were some internal talks about her possibly making a comeback to AEW programming, but specifics on when or a likelihood weren’t revealed at the time of this writing.

There are currently no working plans for her to wrestle at this point after her publicly making her intentions known to wrestle again.

Also noted, Rebel has wrestled a match on a television wrestling property every year since her wrestling debut in 2014. This streak seems set to end this year if she isn’t booked to wrestle.
