TNT Ignition - Ignite the Fire Review

Big day today. We have a double header at Hangar 34 with TNT. First up we have their family friendly show TNT Ignition: Ignite the Fire!

The atmosphere here was amazing. As it is a family friendly show, there were so many children in the audience, and they certainly brought the hype!

Match 1: TNT Ignition Women’s Championship - Lucy Sky vs Saffire Reed

A championship match to start us off today. Two amazing womens wrestlers going at it for the main women's prize in TNT. This one was an incredible match. The “Master of the Wig-Wam Bam” came out victorious in this championship bout after some tremendous back and forth. Lucy Sky did attempt a show of respect which was shot down by Saffire, who did not want to shake hands with a “dirty northerner”.

This match definitely set the tone for the rest of the show. The crowd were enthralled in this one and made their voices heard. Lucy Sky retains her championship. Grade B-

Match 2: Max Brooker & Leon Grey vs Isaac North

This one was meant to be a tag team match, but it seems that Isaac North could handle these two all by himself. This one was pretty much a squash match, but it was an entertaining one.

After the match, it was clear that Max Brooker and Leon Grey were not on the same page and a brawl broke out between the two. Grade C

Match 3: Act Two (Benjamin Harland & Jack Knudsen) vs Scouse & Proud (Harley Hudson & Lizzy Evo)

The definition of entertainment! Great start with Harley Hudson making Act Two drop and give her 10 push ups! This one was a great match with plenty of action and it was a great back and forth bout. It’s nice to see some intergender matches and this one was one of the better ones I have seen.

Scouse and Proud celebrated their victory by taking photos with people in the audience (including my daughter) which made this one even more special. Grade B-

Match 4: TNT Ultra X Championship - Man Like Dereiss vs Nico Angelo

This one got plenty of crowd interaction. I don’t think there was a moment when the crowd wasn’t chanting “0121” at Dereiss. These two men are ones to watch - they are destined for big things.

A very impressive match to watch. Lots of hard hitting action and some beautiful moves displayed. Dereiss retained his championship after a hard fought battle. Grade B

Match 5: MVK vs Shreddy

Well, this one immediately had crowd interaction. The children in attendance really let Shreddy know what they thought of him! Some outside interference from Synergy that was quickly dealt with with a beautiful moonsault from the top rope. Plenty of “blink and you’ll miss it action”.

A lot of back and forth, this one was anyone's match to win, but in the end, it was MVK picking up the win. After the match, UK’s Most Wanted vs Shreddy & Synergy was announced for the next Ignition event. Grade C

Main Event: TNT Ignition Championship Match - RP Davies vs Dylan Roberts vs Joey Hayes

An absolutely incredible triple threat match! This one was worthy of the main event spot. Some absolutely incredible moves were on display here. The chemistry of all three men was wonderful and this match had us all on the edges of our seats!

RPD was able to retain his title in this match. A great show of respect between the men after the match. RPD celebrated his victory but he was interrupted by Chase Alcala! Chase gets into the ring and locks RPD in a submission, causing RPD to pass out! Grade A-

Overall, this was an amazing show to be at. The action did not disappoint and there were plenty of moments where the matches could have gone either way. Plenty of crowd interaction which made this one even more enjoyable.
