Official thoughts - This was a good first match to start with and both men showed what they are capable of and that there is more to come for them.

Match 2 - SWA Scottish Junior Heavyweight Championship Match - Derren J Blair (c) v Sam Taylor

Sam came out first and we were waiting for the Champion to come out but outcome Ahmed Hamdeh, The Champion was not here so we now have a singles match.

Ahmed went over to a woman in the crowd and said he was not getting in the ring till she kissed his bicep the woman kept saying no, and Sam decided to sneak up on Ahmed and kick his bum.

Official Winner - Sam Taylor

Official thoughts - This was the second time I saw Ahmed and I think he is a great talent. He and Sam put on a great match and I would love to see them go against each other again soon. Sam is a young talent I believe he will go places in the business.

Match 3 - SPW Tag Team Championship Match - The Young Team (c) v The Knockout Kings

The crowd were behind The Young Team before it even started, The Young Team where calling The Knockout Kings baldy, The match started with Kid Fite getting the upper hand on Jimmy Peirce but wasn't for long before Jimmy turned it round with a dropkick before him and Logan did quick tags and attacking the arm of Kid Fite before Kid shouted at Davey this hurts your turn. Davey came in and went after Logan who hit an arm drag on Davey and held him in an arm bar.

Logan tagged in Jimmy who came off the top rope and attacked his arm, Jimmy got the upper hand before Davey left the ring, Jimmy and Logan went on the apron on each side of the ring and both went for a punt on each of The Knockout Kings both Kid and Davey both stopped them by grabbing their leg and swinging it back so both Jimmy and Logan land face first on the apron.

Official Winners - NEW SPW Tag Team Champions - The Knockout Kings

Match 4 - Hardcore Match - George Hatcher v Nathan Reynolds

Marc Munro came out first to intro introduce George Hatcher to the ring properly apparently, Nathan came out and took the mic (Nathan is the commissioner) he banned Marc Munro from ringside.

George Hatcher took the mic and said it's a good thing your wh*** wife is not here to see this, this hit a nerve with Nathan who went straight after George and attacked him in the corner. Nathan then hit a massive closline followed by another one after throwing George off the ropes. It then spilled to the outside, Nathan hit George with a baking tray a couple of times before George sat on a chair, Nathan spoke on the mic and asked George if he wanted to continue and George replied your wife is a wh*** so Nathan pulled him off the chair and attacked him with forearms.

Nathan found another baking tray and attacked George with it a few times with the fans chanting 1 more time. George tries to get back into it but it annoyed Nathan more who then attacks George with a kendo stick and a guitar, George attacks Nathan with abaking tray and then throws a chair at him. Nathan gets back on top, he sits George on a chair and buts a bucket hat on him before hitting him with a closline off the chair.

Nathan throws George back in the ring and goes to search for a weapon and pulls out a golf club, Nathan then goes to play golf (you know what I mean) and he hits a perfect shot. Marc Munro appears with a chair, he tries to hit Nathan who moved and he hits the referee, this sets up Nathan to get set and hit a spear on Marc. George managed to hit a cutter out of nowhere. George goes for the pin but there is no referee to count and George stops before a referee gets in. This allows Nathan to recover and hit a spear on George for the pin.

Official Winner - Nathan Reynolds

Official thoughts - This was a really good match and was crazier than I thought would be, I could feel a lot of the weapon hits and all the fans where behind Nathan. This was Nathan's first match back after retiring almost 3 years ago.

Match 5 - SPW Women's Championship Match - Hera v Kirsty Love v Moxie Malone v Kasey Owens

As they were away to be announced it was a triple threat elimination match, I found out that Hera is injured and had to pull out, we wish her a speedy recovery.

The match started with Kasey going after both women, Moxie managed to get back into it with Kasey in the corner, Moxie threw Kasey towards the opposite corner and Kasey reversed it as Moxie reached the corner she pushed up on the top turnbuckle and ropes her legs around Kasey's head but Kasey stops Moxie going further and pushes her out the ring.

Kasey went after Kirsty with a kick but Kirsty blocked it so Kasey went for a closline and Kirsty ducked under it and hit Kasey with a shoulder tackle, Moxie got back in the ring and she and Kirsty started teaming up on Kasey. Kirsty and Moxie hit a double suplex on Kasey, they then threw Kasey off the ropes hitting a double hip toss then holding hands and hitting double elbow drops. Kirsty then threw Kasey into the corner she then threw Moxie in the corner so she could splash Kasey, Moxie then threw Kirsty toward Kasey in the corner but Kasey managed to get her elbow up to block Kirsty.

Kasey hit a springboard elbow onto Moxie for a pin attempt that was broken up by Kirsty and straight into a schoolboy on Kasey for a 2 count. Moxie and Kirsty try to double team again but Kasey gets the better of them and gets on the upper hand for a while, Kasey has both women in opposite corners and she hits running knees on them both. Moxie and Kirsty start to fall out and they start to hit each other, this allows Kasey to regroup.

Kirsty hits a massive backbreaker on her knee and before she can go for the pin Moxie rolls her up for the 3 count and Kirsty is eliminated. Moxie hits a bulldog on Kasey for a 2 count. Moxie stays on the upper hand with some heavy hits, It looked like Moxie was going to win as she had Kasey in a submission but Kasey managed to role over and use the ropes to pin Moxie.

Official Winner - NEW SPW Woman's Champion Kasey Owens

Kasey Owens will be presented with the belt at their next show on 16th August in Letham Village Hall in a special ceremony.

Official thoughts - I thought this was a good match would have been better if all 6 that were due in it could be in it but for having to adapt the way they have it was really good, I hope we see a Kasey Owens v Moxie Malone singles match.

We got an injury update from Luke Aldridge and he announced he has been cleared for in ring return and will be at Letham ready to go.

Match 6 - SPW Defiance Championship - Colton Davis (c) v Mercer

If Colton does not appear he is stripped of the title.

Mercer is in the ring waiting on Colton and his music hits out comes Bryan D who gets in the ring holding the Defiance Championship, he announces Colton is not here and as promised he is stripped of the title.

Bryan says there are 2 options and the music of George Hatcher hits he comes out and tells Bryan to shut up, he knows he can't go against Mercer as they both agreed on this months ago when their rivalry ended. George said he had someone to challenge for the Vacant title and it's Marc Munro who then came out.

Bryan says to Mercer your choice we can present you with the title or you can face Marc Munro for it, Mercer then asked the crowd who wanted to see a match so the match was then on.

Mercer was taking off his jacket when Marc attacked him to start the match, Marc had Mercer in the corner and then went threw Mercer towards the ropes but Mercer reversed it and Marc jumped over Mercer then Mercer jumped over Marc then Mercer hit Marc with a drop kick. Mercer then pulled Marc's head down to his knee. Mercer then lifted Marc up and fell backwards planting Marc on the mat.

Marc managed to get back in the ring by hitting a massive boot to Mercer this led to a 2 count, both men were back up and Marc stayed on the upper hand with closlines, Marc has Mercer on the ropes choking him using his knee while the referee counted towards 5. Marc then leaves Mercer on the ropes and runs towards him and hits a massive drop kick on Mercer to choke him on the ropes more.

Marc attacks Mercer in the corner with kicks before hitting a running backwards uppercut. Marc hits an elbow drop but again can't finish the match. Mercer manages to get back in it a little by getting Marc out the ring, Mercer then looks to go for a dive but as he is away to dive out Marc hits him with a forearm. Marc is back in the ring and distracts the referee so George Hatcher can attack Mercer.

Mercer manages to hit a massive headbutt on Marc, Mercer then tells Marc to look up and hits him with a massive punch. Mercer stays on the upper hand for a while. Marc tries to hit a massive kick but Mercer rolls under, Mercer hits a massive closline from the top rope followed by a kill switch for a 2 count. Marc hits a claymore for a 2 count, George throws in the Defiant Championship so Marc tries to hit Mercer but Mercer ducks and straight into another kill switch for the pin.

Official Winner - NEW Defiant Champion - Mercer

After the match, Mercer said this was for the fans and would defend it against anyone even George Hatcher and announced when he losses the championship he would retire.

Official thoughts - Again this was not what we expected but it worked really well and both men put on a good show and showed the crowd why they deserved to be in that match.

Match 7 - SPW Heavyweight Championship Match - Lucha DS (c) v Glen Dunbar v BT Gunn

It was then announced with a special guest referee of Steven Magners.

The match started with all men testing their strengths before Glen broke it by attacking both men. Lucha hit a springboard elbow on Glen and BT, Lucha had Glen in the corner and slapped his chest, Glen threw Lucha in the corner and followed him there to hit him but Lucha Used the top turnbuckle and managed to jump up over Glen who then went shoulder first in the ring post.

Lucha ran to the corner where BT was but BT got his boot up to stop any attack, BT then went for a roll up on Lucha but Lucha kicked out, Glen then attacked BT with some knee attacks. Lucha then rolled up Glen but Glen kicked out.

Glen then stopped them and said lets shake hands both BT and Lucha shook hands but when Lucha shook hands with Glen he went for a kick but Lucha was waiting on it and caught his foot, Lucha passed his foot to BT who then passed back to Lucha who then passed it to Steven Magners, Magners put Glen's foot down but this lead to Lucha and BT hitting a massive punch on Glen.

Lucha and BT go back a forth for a bit on each other until Glen pulls BT out of the ring and hits a running neckbreaker on Lucha, All men go back and forth getting the upper hand on each other. Lucha hits a 619 on BT who lands on Glen and Magners starts the count, Lucha hits a swantom onto both men. Glen gets Lucha out of the ring and tries a splash on BT but BT moves and hits his finish for the win.

Official thoughts - This was a good back and forth match with all men showing they deserved to be in the match and that they could be the champion, the crowd were into the match and kept the spirits up.
