ROYAL RAMPAGE - AEW RAMPAGE REVIEW 26/7

Welcome guys to this weeks episode of Rampage and we are kicking things off with the Royal Rampage Battle Royal.

MATCH 1: ROYAL RAMPAGE

Order of Eliminations: Brandon Cutler, Matt Menard, Butcher, Komander, Nick Wayne, Mortos, Ishii, Mike Bennett, Orange Cassidy, Matt Taven, Kyle O’ Reilly, Lio Rush, Roderick Strong, Jay Lethal, Brody King, Jeff Jarrett, Brian Cage

Darby Allin is the sole survivor in his ring as he awaits his opponent in the other ring between Claudio and Cage. Claudio eliminates Cage with a neutralizer as he and Darby Allin go at it now. Claudio tosses Darby into the other ring, and Darby goes rolling under the ropes to crash on the outside. Claudio follows it up by swinging him into the steel steps. Action back inside the ring as Claudio German suplexes Darby. Claudio tries for another one as Darby flips over him. Darby charges and is sent over the top rope. Claudio tries to kick Darby off, but he’s not budging. Darby manages to get in a guillotine and coffin drop to send Claudio off the ropes and crash outside the ring for the win.

Here is your Winner: Darby Allin

Why did we need to have Darby win this. We could have had some other fun match ups. Darby didn’t need this victory as hes already feuding with Jack Perry. This just felt like a boring outcome for me. Loved the crowd reaction for Daddy Magic. Hangman jumping Double J makes for another interesting story.

MATCH 2: KRIS STATLANDER VS LEILA GREY

A kick to the face and an F5, followed by a Friday NightFever and this one is all over.

Here is your Winner: Statlander

A usual rampage squash match.

MATCH 3: LANCE ARCHER VS ENHANCEMENT TALENT (we don’t say jobber anymore)

Lance carries his opponent to the ring after beating him up backstage. In the ring, A spinebuster and a chokeslam followed by the fans chanting one more and Lance obliges. The blackout follows and this one is over.

Oh another squash? Your spoiling us Rampage. Lets build Lance Archer yet again and then forget about him.

MATCH 3: THE OUTRUNNERS VS PRIVATE PARTY VS THE RIGHTEOUS VS KYLE FLETCHER & RUSH

All men had a moment to produce something in this one but it felt rushed. No entrances for anyone as we joined the match midaway basically. The ending came when Fletcher hit Floyd from behind as RUSH and Fletcher tag team on him. Vicious chops on Magnum as RUSH kicks him in the jaw. Fletcher hits a belly-to-back tombstone to pick up the win.

Here is your Winner: Fletcher and RUSH

Why did we have two people who aren’t a team win against three legit tag teams. This was silly booking in my opinion.
