Hi all. It’s Clint with your weekly graps review. Yesterday I travelled to Camden in London for Progress Wrestling’s penultimate show of the year, Vendetta. Here’s what went down.
ATLAS TITLE MATCH
Ricky Knight Jnr Vs Luke Jacobs
In what many deemed as Ricky’s toughest title defence to date, I thought there was a good chance of a new Champion.
RKJ holding Jacobs in a suplex for a minute will certainly change that thinking. The man from Norwich retained before both men shook hands.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Leon Slater Vs Conor Mills
If you weren’t expecting this to be fast paced you haven’t seen either before. The Youngest in Charge was heavily supported which isn’t a surprise when he leaps over the ringpost onto his opponent. Slater got the win.
⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4
Paul Robinson Vs Tate Mayfairs
Robbo managed to stop Tate from using the brass knuckles but he couldn’t stop him from winning in the end. After the match Simon Miller hit Tate with the knucks before announcing they’ll have a Street Fight at Unboxing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2
Cheeky Little Buggars(Charles Crowley/Alexxis Falcon Vs Lana Austin/Rob Drake
A first mixed tag match on English soil for Progress. This descended into chaos late on with Alexxis slugging it out with Drake before Crowley kicked Lana in the crotch before Alexxis finished her with Falcons Fury (Reverse STO DDT).
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Warren Banks Vs Gene Munny
This was an emotional contest with Warren being sang to the ring by SKILLET.
Once the contest started Gene repeatedly didn’t want to fight Warren. Even when they wrestled for a few minutes there would be moments when Gene stopped and wanted to end it. He ran the ropes before hugging Banks on one occasion.
The end came when Warren goaded Gene into finishing him and he did with a thunderous spear.
Banks left his boots in the ring as he retired to chants of “Thank you Warren” and fans banging the ring apron.

Sanity Vs Doninus Dominatus Regnum (The Smoking Aces/Bullit)
On a night of special entrances, Sanity raised the roof on the Electric Ballroom as they were sang out by Dave Grunewald.
Dominatus Regnum seemed rocked and although they had their moments it was Sanity who got their hands raised much to the crowds delight.

Women’s Title Match
Rheo Vs Lizzy Evo Vs Kanji
A tough 1st defence at the Electric Ballroom for North West Strongs Rheo who also brought out her ICW Women’s Title.
At times she was happy to let Lizzy and Kanji’s dislike for each other thrive but at other points all combinations teamed up in 2 Vs 1 scenarios.
Kanji was moments from making Lizzy Evo tap but Rheo hit her with a thunderous Piledriver for the 3 count.
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/4
A pleasant surprise was next as ‘Party Hard’ echoed throughout the venue as the crowd went wild for a surprise return of Eddie Dennis. The man from Wales retired 8 months ago but has regretted that decision as did the Electric Ballroom if this reception was anything to go by. After stating he got fired by WWE, rehired by WWE and then he fired WWE, Eddie announced himself in Super Strong Style.
Shigerhiro Irie Vs Yoichi
The reinvented Yoichi has been on a bit of a losing run in Progress and came out with a new name and look. Irie isn’t the opponent you want to turn your luck around. Yoichi did manage to come away with the W after a hard fought battle.

World Title Match
Lucha De Apuestas
Spike Trivet Vs Lykos
This was the 1 that sold a lot of tickets. Either the Sovereign Lords reign of terror was coming to an end or Lykos would unmask.
Lykos came out to new music while Spike Trivet had a tombstone with Lykos’s name on and an eerie mask with a beak as this match had a big time feel.
Bullit and Lykos II were sent to the back as this was going to be settled 1 on 1.
This one went all over the Ballroom from Spike being package Piledrove through chairs to Lykos going through a table on the outside as well as being tombstoned on the earlier mentioned Tombstone.
Dominatus Regnum came out on stage and threatened to put Lykos through a table. Lykos was distracted enough for Spike to throw him from the top rope through glass that had been set up which went everywhere. This was not long after Trivet had smashed 2 glass bottles on Lykos. Spike hit his finisher before Lykos somehow kicked out.
Tables, Ladders and Chairs (oh my) were used in this as Lykos’s body was put through everything you could think of. Long gone are the days when Lykos would get injured, his back was bleeding all over but he seemed invincible. Unfortunately for the majority of the crowd that was not the case as Spike hit his finisher 1 more time to retain and force Lykos to unmask.
As the fans took in what was about to happen, Lykos eventually got up, sat on a chair and gave an emotional speech about the history of when a wrestler loses his mask. Lykos then told us his age, his real name of Ethan Beech and how long he’d been wrestling before unmasking.
Lykos handed Spike his mask before saying “Don’t fuck this up”. An emotional venue was interrupted by someone shouting “Are you single?” This broke the tension. Lykos asked who shouted that before saying “Play your cards right”.
An emotional Ethan left the Ballroom to a loud ovation. What is next from the man without the mask?
