Monopoly Events Announces first London convention for summer 2024.
May 24, 2023 – Monopoly Events, the UK’s biggest fan convention operators are delighted to announce their inaugural London event will take place in Summer 2024 at the ExCel London.
Since their first ‘For the Love of the Force’ event in 2015, Monopoly Events have rapidly expanded their Comic Convention and exhibition portfolio. The initial Liverpool event took place in 2018, followed by Edinburgh and Manchester in 2019. In 2022 they added shows in Aberdeen, Newport and Belfast with Newcastle and Harrogate following in 2023. Their events now attract upwards of 250,000 attendees each year.
Monopoly events are not only the fastest growing pop culture event organisers in the UK, but the biggest operators in multiple locations, with the largest annual attendance figures in the UK.
Alongside their Comic Cons, Monopoly Events also organise a number of more genre focussed brands – with thousands of fans flocking to their ‘For the Love of Wrestling’, ‘For the Love of Sc-Fi’, ‘For the Love of MMA’, ‘For the Love of Horror’ and ‘For the Love of Fantasy’ shows in previous years.
After multiple years of fan requests they are very proud to be bringing one of the original ‘For the Love of’ brands to London, after successfully building and developing their pop culture brands around the rest of the UK. “For the Love of Fantasy” will come to the ExCel London in the summer of 2024.
Monopoly Events strategy has always been to appeal to the widest possible audience with all shows featuring current and retro gaming, cosplay, exhibitors and anime alongside some of the highest profile celebrity guest appearances in the industry. They are also proud to commission and build multiple bespoke set and prop builds for fans to enjoy.
