Eric Bischoff interviews both the reigning AWA Titleholder and the former 8-Time NWA World Champion, ahead of their upcoming match.

In the final days of the American Wrestling Association, veteran Larry Zbyzko was asked to carry the banner for the promotion. As the world titleholder, he would face an interesting challenge from Harley Race, already considered one of the greatest world champions of all time.

Race would fail to wrestle the belt away from Larry Z, and the AWA would cease operations in 1991. Both wrestlers would turn up in Ted Turner's World Championship Wrestling. Race became a manager for stars like Van Vader and Lex Luger, while Zbyszko finished out his in-ring career and eventually became a color commentator.

For the record? So did the announcer, Eric Bischoff. He also made his way to WCW. And the rest, as they say... is history.
