Drew Parker Announces Retirement From Professional Wrestling

As first reported by PWPPonderings on Saturday, August 19th 2023, Drew Parker announced his retirement from professional wrestling.

If you are not aware of Drew Parker he was a wrestler from Wales who went to Japan to take over the deathmatch scene he has since then toured America and the UK collecting belts and winning deathmatch tournaments all across the world. He’s done it all at the age of 25.

Some of Drew Parker’s accolades include BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Champion, GCW Ultraviolent Champion, King of Freedom Champion, GCW TOS winner and BJW tournament winner.

Drew Parker’s first deathmatch was on the 22nd September 2017 at FCP Project Mayhem VI. This was a tag team match where Clint Margera stood on the opposite side. This match is violent with barbed wire barricades, carpet strips, thumbtacks and even features a scaffold build which Clint and Drew both dive off. You can watch the highlights of this match on YouTube.

Since then Clint Margera and Drew Parker have fought multiple times in ICW Fight Club, APW, Progress Wrestling, Kamikaze Pro, TNT Extreme Wrestling and a few others too.

Drew Parker spoke briefly after his match at TNT Extreme Wrestling Summer Explosion.

“I’ve been asked why Clint was going to be the final opponent to me. It was the most obvious choice.”

Summer Explosion featured a heap of violence, there were syringes, chairs, light tubes, panes of glass, barbed wire and more which you can watch on Demand Progress Plus keep an eye on their socials for more information.

This match told me the importance of not giving up on your dreams and that if you can keep your mindset you can achieve whatever you want to.

Thank you Drew Parker for everything you have done for the Deathmatch world and all of us at Real Rasslin wish you the best of luck on your retirement and what you decide to do next.
