This stacked Dynamite starts off with a preview of this Sunday. Don Callis on commentary is already claiming Orange as a member of his family. With the not quite full heel turn that Orange Cassidy has with the babyface that Will Ospreay is portrayed as should provide interesting dynamics. If Trent Beretta doesn't want to be tag as that seems to be the character arc would provide for decent story telling for Strong and Trent. The opponents for next Sunday's Double or Nothing square off. Lots of quick high flying action to start the match. Slowed down by Taven distracting and Roderick hitting a back breaker. Orange Cassidy gets tagged in, He immediately knocked down Trent and then started his reversal style offense. Beretta and Strong work well together. The back breaker then spear on the outside was a very nice combo. Ospreay hits the cheeky Nandos then does a corkscrew off the middle ropes; Orange Cassidy followed that up with an elbow drop for a two count. Spectacular sequence of events. After interference Strong wins the match. Undisputed Kingdom and Trent beat down their opponents after the match.
Jay White did a subpar promo about Pac. Thankfully Pac interrupts. He brought back Death Triangle who then attack the Bang Bang Gangs. Pheonix looks really jacked. This gives us Death Triangle against the Bang Bang Gang at Double or Nothing. This PPV is heating up.
This match slightly upsets me. It is one of those that the only logical person to win is Hook. Also the choice to take the pin is Bryan Keith. The question just becomes will Jericho retain on Sunday. Hook and Shibata take turns chopping Keith, before staring each other down. To a certain degree each man is holding their own and trying to one up each other with the same moves. Hook and Shibata both hook on a submission. Rick Knox names Hook and Shibata both the winners. The Learning Tree version of Jericho is kinda grating. However, the story is Triple Threat for the FTW with FTW rules.
The sentimental favorite of some RealRasslin personel Matt Sydal has not been seen in my opinion as a viable opponent for a long time. Since Matt has no match this Sunday making Konosuke lose would be a disservice to him. Konosuke takes on more of a Jon Moxley style of taunting beat down. Slight mocking of Moxley. Quick simple and clean win for Konosuke Takeshita. Mox comes out to save Matt Sydal from the beatdown after the match.
Nick Wayne against Strickland has the potential to be fire. The question is how much does the overall story overshadow this match. It is also just nice to see Nick Wayne in a match again. NIck starts the match with some Christian Cage heel tatics of wasting time outside the match. Nice change of pace to start the match. Swerve spanks Nick Wayne's booty with a leather betl. All of the early damage inducing maneuvers has been Swerve until he missed and went into the turnbuckle. Swerve Stomp on the outside as Swerve's bandage disgustingly hangs on his head half off. Nick then nearly steals a win by putting his feet on the ropes for leverage. Nick would attempt a House Call but Swerve would reverse it. Swerve apologized before hitting Nick with a House Call and pinning by putting a hand on him. Killswitch will come out and attack after the match. Swerve hitting a House Call on Killswitch as he chased Christian Cage was a cool thing. Prince Nana blocks Christian from driving away. A nice parking lot scuffle between Christian and Swerve.
This is anther Pay Per View caliber match. Both men are spectacular talent. The two men "feel each other out" O'Reilly and Black seem to mirror each other move for move to start the match. Bryce Remsburg can be seen taking extra precaution checking on O'Reilly as he lasy on the outside of the ring. Although a good match this serves the same purpose as the Konosuke match earlier. Kyle O'Reilly does not have a match Sunday so giving him the win would hurt Malakai Black. Overall this is a very MMA style match if a pro wrestling match can be MMA. Brainbuster by Black almost secures the win. Nice win by Malakai Black. I would love to see this again but without an obvious outcome. After the match a throw back to the Brood days of Adam Copeland with "blood" falling in the center of the ring covering Malakai Black. What a mess to clean up.
Another unfortunate match where only one participant has a match on Sunday. I would much rather have Toni Storm against Saraya at Double or Nothing. May and Cameron start the match. Saraya gets tagged in and request Toni Storm. The two exchange blows. A well deserved this is awesome chant breaks out. A Storm Zero and May Day done in unison wins the team of Storm and May the match. Deeb would attack after the match. Humourisly using the shoe to attack Storm before locking Toni in a single leg Boston Crab while sitting in a chair.
A David v Goliath type match. This is the fourth match of the night where only one participant has a match at Double or Nothing. Also would like to point out it is Bryan Danielson's birthday. Satnam easily beats down the birthday man. Danielson has to use the apron to kick Satnam Singh in the chest and deliver running knees. One count as Singh put his foot on Danielson's chest. Danielson low blow. then a Busaiku knee briefly allows Bryan Danielson the advantage. Danielson gets Satnam Singh in a Lebell Lock before Jeff Jarrett and the rest of his gang cause a Disqualification. Danielson is able to keep the ring clear. Sonjay Dutt almost eats a guitar but Satnam ends up punching thru it.
Matthew and Nicholas then come out to deliver an envelop of presumed money. Danielson escapes an EVP Trigger and starts to beat down the Bucks. Jack Perry attacks from behind as Okada's coin dropped. This is really setting up The Elite to be unstoppable at Double or Nothing. Nice move but bad if they make The Elite lose in their power stuggle so early. Darby gets delivered by Tony Khan with a flame thrower to run off The Elite.
