The show kicked off big with a No DQ match. Sammy jumped the bell with a running knee lift to Hobbs. Guevara uses his speed to keep Hobbs off balance in the first few minutes of the match. Sammy Guevara jumping over the steps instead of going into them was nice. Hobbs answered with a World's Strongest Slam into them though. This lead Hobbs to treating Sammy Guevara like a rag doll. Hobbs intimidating Kevin Kelly into giving him his belt is a nice break from Tony Schiavone being bullied. A Van Daminator by Sammy to Hobbs does not phase Hobbs. That monitor shot was an obvious gimmicked item. If not where was the cords? This match is really just a spot fest. Each Table used cost $230. They pulled out 5 for this match. The two glass bottles busting sounded nice. Sounded painful. Massively surprised that Hobbs did not move with how long it took to set up the ladder. Massive move well played. If that World's Strongest Slam off the top roped didn't finish it I would have been flabbergasted. I wonder how Mark Henry feels about the move not being protected.
Looking at the match on paper I only see FTR getting a win so they have momentum going into Revolution. I am liking the booking where FTR is not facing BCC constantly. Good standard FTR wrestling on Lee Moriarty. Shane Taylor coming in changes the dynamics of the match. Tagging Lee Moriarty back in allows the pace to pick back up. Nice teamwork by Shane Taylor Promotions with the knee to the head while Moriarty has Dax in a hold. Cash is able to make the hot tag shortly after that and comes in with some left hand punches. FTR win off a Doomsday.
Thunder Rosa has a warm up match against an unsigned talent. From what I could find on the internet Rosa and Ladybird have met previously in Thunder Rosa's promotion. What a waste of TV time.
Bang Bang Scissor Gang went up against Iron Savages. Max Caster just stopped his rap mid sentence. I am not sure what is up with that. I am disappointed in this. Daddy Ass started the match. He is at the stage in his career where getting booed is going to be hard. The fans cheered the eye poke. Colton flew over the corner landing hard on the outside. This is a much more competitive match than I would figure. When Jay White was tagged in he brought an explosivity that was lacking to the match. An obvious win for the Bang Bang Scissor Gang.
This is another match that I am questioning the competitiveness. This does not mean Bryan Keith is not talented it just means he as not been built up for a person like Malakai Black. Keith did get some good offense in. However, after every little bit from Keith Black was able to escape or reverse. The succession of moves from the Double stomp into the bridging german suplex by Black was nice. Spinning Heel Kick would secure Malakai Black the win.
Briscoe getting the beatdown after the match is setting up something big for House of Black and him.
A late switch in the match substituted Lady Frost for Keira Hogan. Seeing as Serena Deeb is getting a push since her return this is match is a no brainer for who will win. At least Lady Frost is a competitor that seems like a challenge. It is nice that the commentary team is making this competitive by stating Deeb did not have enough time to prep for her opponent. Chiller Driller for a near fall. Single Leg Crab gets Serena Deeb the win. A horrible after match promotion makes her look like she is setting up for a fued after Toni Storm retains next Sunday.
Eddie Kingston was on commentary for this match. Tony Khan is really making things happen for the potential swan song year of Bryan Danielson. A NJPW ref is the official. This is a very technical starting match. Akiyama was almost an Olympic Wrestler; he debuted in 1992. Maybe he could have won a gold medal with a broken freakin' neck. Akiyama is bigger than Danielson and was able to knock him down with a shoulder block. Danielson is working on the leg of Jun Akiyama. Daniel puts a Muta lock on Akiyama. Akiyama breaks it by gouging the eye. Daniel delivers kicks running kicks to the corner but Jun rebounds out with a massive Stan Hansen type lariat. This does not last long as Danielson puts him in a LeBelle Lock. Big Knee to Danielson as he jumped off the top rope set up a piledriver and a near fall for Jun Akiyama. Exploder Suplex by Akiyama for a near fall. Akiyama then puts Bryan in a guillotine choke. Bryan fell from the exchanging of blows. Nice touch to make it different. Bryan Danielson will win the match with a knee. Akiyama did slap Bryan after seeing the disrespect to Eddie Kingston.
I would say that this was a horrible episode of Collision. Too many matches that did not feel competitive. Little story was built. I just was not a fan.
