After the main event of AEW Dynamite, there was the biggest clue yet to the potential identity of the mysterious ‘Devil’ lurking around.
However last night’s period of AEW Dynamite started with rare ‘blue league’ action last night show started with Andrade el Idolo taking on Brody King.
In the opening bout of the night, Andrade el Idolo beat Brody King moving to 9 points in the Blue League.
In Gold League action, Rush bested Jay Lethal to pick up another 3 points and Jay White defeated Mark Briscoe to capture another 3 as well.
In the main event of last night’s AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland took on Jon Moxley on last night’s Dynamite in what could be a sneak preview of the Gold League final.
It would prove to be Jon Moxley who would pick up the win, and the points and bust Swerve Strickland’s undefeated streak thus far in the tournament.
After the main event, the cameras quickly cut back to the parking lot area as four masked men appeared as well as ‘The Devil’.
Attacking Hangman Adam Page seemingly rules out Adam Page as well as Swerve Strickland or Jon Moxley from being involved in the masked hijinks.
Also, the attackers slammed Adam Page onto a car’s glass windscreen potentially a big hint that the ‘Devil’ could be Jack Perry, or at least that he’s involved in some way.
Jack Perry of course infamously slammed HOOK onto a car windscreen at AEW All In London and said “Real glass, cry me a river” into the camera weeks after CM Punk had advised him not to use real glass for a segment, which ultimately led to CM Punk’s departure from AEW and return to WWE.
Coming up on this Saturday’s AEW Collision it will be Eddie Kingston vs. Daniel Garcia and Claudio Castagnoli against Andrade el Idolo after his physical battle this past Saturday against Bryan Danielson.
Speaking of Bryan Danielson, he’ll be in action against Brody King also in the Blue League.
