We at Real Rasslin can confirm that
We have details on a few AEW talent who have been off of television.
Yuka Sakazaki was in the news this week, as she was removed, then re-added to AEW's website. We haven't been given a reason for that as of yet. Last year she'd battled a neck injury, but returned to the ring, and hasn't wrestled yet in 2024.
Sakazaki was regularly backstage at AEW even while injured, and we're told there were some creative pitches for her even in a non-wrestling capacity last year.
Another recently absent AEW name was backstage at Collision last month
Fightful Select has learned that Nick Comoroto was backstage at the Norfolk show last month, when asking about his whereabouts on the show of late. The 32-year old hasn’t wrestled since the end of October for AEW, but wrestled in New Jersey for an indie company at the end of January..
Comoroto was formerly involved in The Factory stable with QT Marshall, but that was dissolved well before Marshall's original departure. We’re told Comoroto hasn’t been injured, and simply hasn’t been used.
